A strong, fun, kind and talented woman, I first met Helen at Hanchurch playgroup where she volunteered to read at Storytelling time and helped us to plan art and craft sessions. She was a grafter and always turned up early to help us set up. Helen offered a shoulder to cry on if anyone needed support and fought her own battles with courage and positivity. I enjoyed catching up with her in the park with her dogs, sampling her delicious jam and cakes and having her beautifully natural Christmas wreath adorn our front door. Our conversations always turned to our children, now young adults. She, quite rightly, had a fierce love for George, and spoke proudly of his studies, travels and hard work around The Mill. I hope he will take comfort from these memories we hold of his lovely Mum and from the fact that some of her looks and mannerisms live on in him. Helen will be fondly remembered by many of us as we pass The Mill and with us as we wander around Trentham. X
